Abstract

Outmoded, inaccurate description of how the resonance of the human voice relates to tone production on a brass instrument. Author notes, "never hum into the instrument... not all of the vibrations are available to be picked up by the lips. The resulting sound is commonly known as 'jazz tone.'"
